Dog for a Day

so, the girls and I were driving west-bound on baseline and the cars ahead came to a sudden stop
so I stopped (girls were most appreciative)and there was this dog trying to cross the street. She looked scared, worried, confused. As we passed by, the rear-view mirror told me, "That poor dog isn't going to make it. Baseline is busy, extremely busy. Look at her still in the middle of the street. Turn around!" But I ignored the mirror. Now my gut started to talk now and several blocks later I was driving east-bound to find that dog. I got out of my car and checked her tags (she had tags!) and I called. The man on the other end wished me luck as he gave me the owners numbers. Lucy, the five year old golden retreiver was going for a ride in my kia. The girls were elated. The dog: relieved. I left messages on the machines and showed Lucy our backyard. She played with the tennis ball. She was happy on her back getting a belly rub by the girls. She even made the cutest noise as we scratched. Secretly, I was hoping the owners would never call. I could see us and Lucy working out. That was approximately 10:30am. 3:30PM I get a call from Bev. The owner. She was crying before she utter her first word. She was calling from the funeral. She buried her daugther today. If I didn't believe in guardian angels before, I do now.
Lucy is back with her family. And I believe in miracles.

try it you wont like it

being pregnant that is...

I was 13 weeks preggers here with Sophia-to-be

I was HORRIBLY sick but somehow managed to crawl out of bed

take a shower, put some make-up on and take a picture of my growing

belly. My house had been on the market for about 11 months and we just received

an offer! Notice Ella under the desk. She layed in bed with me for those

zillion months or so without complaining once. We sure have alot

of cartoons under our belt... alot of vomiting, alot of tears, alot of vomiting,

a lot of phone calls to my BFF Cindy and alot of vomiting!

I don't miss the year 2007 at all!

Except it did bring me a cute little Sophia BIA Bee bundle.

I'm glad I snapped this memory: to remind

myself why Pregnant Misty will never happen again!!

Try this if you got nothing better to do:

My husband's girlfriend wrote this:

Christian Kiley and his girlfriend

Do you know Christian Kiley? He is a very talented, tall, dark, bald (I mean shaved) mysterious, witty, goofy and handsome kind of a man. He is an amazing husband, daddy, son, brother, friend, teacher and boyfriend. I heart this man. I am proud of this man.
Today he received his first check for writing. Ladies and Gentlemen, CK has arrived! :) We celebrated. I made him my favorite dinner. (well, I would have made him his favorite dinner if the mail had come any earlier) Spaghetti with a rich meat sauce & yummy garlic bread (of course). Ella thinks his writing is fantastic. So does his girlfriend.
We're proud of you, Kiley.
XOXO
Misty, Ella and Sophia

Miss Kiley

Ella the teacher

Today was Community Helper day at Ella's preschool. Notice the clipboard? She was prepared to assess her students' knowledge of the alphabet. She had stickers too. :)

Back in Business

So I got me some makeup, memory card, mustard, and a dvd folder-holder thingy at Target yesterday. Then, me and the babes got some Target popcorn and Ella made her 526th friend this year. Her name is Claire (age 2).

We're Back in Business.

I like tori

TO POC OR NOT TO POC

i have no picture for you
this is a perfect example of my bad poc ways
If you POC, that means your camera has a permanent home
where it resides... it must be above toddler-reaching capabilities because
if you don't POC, you leave camera any old where and thusly,
toddler gets a hold of it and takes the memory card (don't ask me how)
and decides to play hide-&-seek with it.
Shame on me for betraying POC. I have lost my way. I hope that
when i truly repent of my anti-pocful ways that he will
let me back in.
I am SO SORRY!!!!
AND I am terribly upset that this hide-&-seek game has lasted for 5 days and 6 hours.
I've looked in the trash cans, the litter box... under the couch, her poop???
(no, I didn't... but thought about it)
ALAS, lovely memories of thanksgiving, christmas, parties, & loved ones, You'll
just have to reside in my heart forever until I can get off my lazy butt
and go buy another memory card.
and yes, my camera has seen
Point Of Completion.
Have you?
